As a bonus, the atmosphere and proprietors are great! Warm, cozy, fragrant, and complete with two adorable sleeping dogs nestled among the tables and shelves. That's my kind of store!

Oh my god! I totally saw this place when I was in NO last fall. I was there with my parents, and my mom and I adore cookbooks (she has like 2,000 in her collection...not vegan of course).
We walked past this place when we were on our way somewhere else. We didn't have to stop in, but made plans to do so later. And then, silly us, we couldn't remember where we saw it.
We're going back next year, so I will write the addy down. Thanks!
ohhhhh. i haven't been to this place since it moved from north rampart after katrina. it used to be sorta mildewy and dank, but your pics make it look nice. do you know what the vegan cajun book they stock is called?? the only one i've ever heard of is Vegetarian Cooking in Cajun Country, it pretty much blows.
