I just finished Eve Ensler's book, Insecure At Last. I wanted to share a little bit of it, and I definitely say get that booty down to the library and enrich your life with some good reading!
"Freedom can only come from contemplating death, not from pretending it doesn't exist. Not from running from loss but from entering grief, surrendering to sorrow.
Freedom comes not from holding your life more precious or sacred than others'. Not from consuming more than your share.
Freedom is not knowing something when you don't know it.
Freedom means I may not be identified with any one group, but I can visit and find myself in every group...
Freedom cannot be bought or arranged or made with bombs and guards...
Finding the place in me that connects with every person I meet rather than being different, better, or on top...
Freedom is not knowing where you are but being deeply there."
There's a lot more where that came from. Read up!!
Bonus: Interesting article from the NY Times
