First, pre-season football started. Here's my little buddy in his jersey! He gets really excited that he gets to sit in the big chair and experience all the excitement too.
I was feeling lazy ( I think the heat is finally making me crazy as a bat) so I made some food from boxes. It all tasted pretty nice, considering. I made the Fantastic Foods mixes for hummus and falafels, and we had Ezekiel bread pitas. Pretty good!
We woke up early on Saturday and went to some garage sales. I got these cute little vintage dishes.
Finally, I busted out the French Press for some amazing coffee. I love my Bodum Eileen French Press, and I love the coffee that comes from it. It's kinda fancy price-wise, but I have been using it for about six years now with no replacements needed. I used my caffeine high to install a new locking doorknob on the boudoir. Brad and I must be the least handy people ever (crafty and brilliant...another story! Check out Brad's current adventures in handy-man-ism!) and we certainly abused the old doorknob with hammers and drills before Brad found that the thing released it with just a click of a barely-hidden button. Yeesh! Then we managed to get the rest done without much trouble. Heehee.
I also worked on some writing submissions for Room Magazine and Rachel Kramer Bussel, listened to a lot of music, and let the box set of Sex & The City melt my brain just a little more...

Cute puppy!! I love clothing on animals. I also love the black and white floor : ) I tried the chocolate mask too! I like how we both go for the most decadent mask first...heeheee! It left my skin super soft, and it brought out a few icky things, so I'd say it worked well for me. Which one shall we try next?
I want a French Press so bad! They use them at my favorite coffee house and they're fantastic.

Those dishes are awesome! Milk glass is my fave! And your pup with his little jersey is too cute. I wish my dog could fit into clothes! Even the extra large dog shirts are always too small. He's so husky.
Football season is upon us isn't it. Our coffee maker is on it's last breath so I've been debating on the french press or an electric perculator type of coffee maker.
animals in people clothes=mega cute. i heart french presses, but don't own one. did i miss something about you being a writer? i'm a writer too, published here and there but nothing major. just keep writing, props from major magazines don't make you a good writer. writing regularly makes you good.

Look at that little guy! Makes me miss my little one...no dogs allowed in the new apartment :(...she's hangin' with the in-laws. Meanwhile, hope work gets better for you!
