Lucky lucky me! I got to try all these delicious Macro Vegetarian (but actually vegan!) Asian foods from a local health food store, Fiesta Nutrition Center. I love being a guinea pig when it involves stuff like sushi rolls and Shanghai dumplings!
All these foods are pre-prepared and packed in these little recyclable cartons. I previously tried and reviewed the Seaweed Salad from this brand.
These are the brown rice sushi rolls. I have to say, these were surprisingly good in taste and texture for pre-made rolls. The package has a use-by date, and these seem to hold up well during that time frame.
Here is a variety plate of all the other foods. The Shanghai dumplings were delicious and stuffed with shredded cabbage. The Pad Thai wasn't as great as freshly made, but it was satisfying for an easy meal. Finally, the Spinach with Soy-tein! Yum! It was this weird stringy fake meaty stuff with a tangy sauce. Brad was not a fan, but I loved it.
These little meals are filling, healthy, and all around $3-$5. Not too shabby!
P.S. I went a week without sugar, then had Mountain Dew, a cookie, and two pieces of cake all in a 24 hour period. I feel all kinds of blechhy and my stomach hurts. I am back on the green smoothie challenge wagon after my little day of debauchery.
