Ah!! I found an Interbot house that totally encourages me about my own dwelling choices!! I love my decor style, and couldn't change it if I wanted, because it's so *me*...that being said, sometimes I give myself a hard time about not being more grown-up or coordinated. We have ZERO store-bought furniture (all hand-me-downs or thrift), nothing matches, everything is torn/scraped/chipped/etc. I like to think we are a less red-headed, fairly un-witchy version of the Weaslys from Harry Potter.
I love my cozy home, but get all miffed sometimes when I go somewhere that is color coordinated, fragrant, and crazy-clean. :(

i love this post! in the last five years, i have veared (?) away from the traditional, neatsy-weetsy-coordinating home decor. (not that there's anything wrong with that). I just have found my place and find freedom and relaxation for me and my circus. I have already taken the pledge to not purchase any new furniture while my kids are in the house...learning that kids are hard on things! :)
