Berry-licious Ice Kream

I've been experimenting with healthier desserts lately and decided to try Ice Kream from Ani's Raw Food Essentials: Recipes and Techniques for Mastering the Art of Live Food.

Ani's Raw Food Essentials: Recipes and Techniques for Mastering the Art of Live Food

It took me a few tries to get something I liked, but the end result was great. I started with the recipe as it read, but it was way to nutty for me. I added almond milk and came up with this yummy fruit-topped version.

The berries were my favorite part, so I decided to do a blended version.

It needed just a little something else...carob chips and pumpkin seeds to the rescue!

This recipe ended up being a sorbet of sorts...tasty!

I've really started enjoying pumpkin seeds. I can see how they'd go really well with carob, but I'd never think to put them on berry sorbet. Nice.

I actually got the idea for the carob/pumpkin seed combo from a dog treat recipes, heheh! They are great together in cereal, snacks, pretty much anything!
