I love garage sales! They are definitely one of my favorite things to do for fun. I'm a natural born treasure hunter and can spot a winner a mile off. All the ladies in my family have this crazy skill :)
Here are a few of my favorite things I've picked up lately.
Max Brenner Hug Mugs: These are adorable! From the site: "The Hug Mug is a specially designed mug for the hot chocolate drinking ceremony. The mug is shaped so that you can hug it in both hands to create the ultimate experience of coziness, warmth and fragrance."
Price for a set of 4, plus standard shipping: $47.55
Garage sale price: $.50
I saved: $47.05
Thoughts: Whoa! I would never spend $50 on mugs anyway, but I will feel very posh drinking out of my foofoo mugs! These would also make cute gifts with some homemade hot cocoa mix.
IT Jeans: From the site: "The Diva jean by !iT Jeans is a low rise jean sitting below the belly button with a back rise that is slightly higher for added coverage. This jean also has a fitted leg that goes into a slight flare. Designed with the curvy girl in mind, this style will hug your curves no matter where they are. The Clearwater Version is a dressier dark wash with fading and whisker on the thighs. The !iT Jeans symbol is embossed onto the back pockets and outlined with tonal blue stitching. Copper brown stitching is used throughout the rest of the jean. If you need a great basic jean that you can turn to year after year, then you'll love the classic details of the Diva in Clear Water!"
Garage sale price for two pairs: $4
Again, never on earth would I spend this much money on jeans (me wearing them with heels is also a laugh, as I am a flip-flop kinda lady) but these jeans fit like a dream and are great looking on. YAY!!
In conclusion, I spent $4.50 for roughly $200 worth of stuff while spending time with my dude and friends on a Saturday morning, sipping peppermint tea, and meeting new people. Perfecto! See ya in the piles!
