Hello lovelies! Here are a few of my recent raw goodies!
Work lunch: Raw vegan "tuna" on sprouted grain. This recipe is from Crazy Sexy Diet.
I must say, I prefer the "Oh My This Is A Tuna" recipe I've posted before, but this CSD one was lighter and a nice break from the the heavier tasting recipe. I threw in a slice of Tofutti cheese because honestly, I bought it on sale, it's kinda yuck, and I am too stubborn to throw it away. The "tuna" taste took over and I ate the silly v-cheese slice!
And for dessert...I resisted yummy sugary chocolatey store-bought dessert and made these instead. Yay me! I have a goal of serious abdominal domination (kapow!) by the time my honey and I go see (read: dance our heinys off to) Men in April! I felt proud for sticking to healthy food that would give me energy for my daily workouts. (In total love with workouts by Cindy Whitmarsh and Michelle Opperman!)
Raw cacao truffles!
I have no idea where the recipe came from, but it's basically almonds, honey (not too much!), raw cacao powder, and a little coconut oil, all rolled in coconut and frozen. SO good! These are rich and still have sugar (honey) so moderation is best, but they surely satisfy a sweet tooth without too much damage being done. I have eyed the raw truffles at health food stores, and they run as much as $6 for two truffles! No way! I'm glad I made these easy and healthy treats at home for way less.
Cheers!

Ooh, today's a raw day for me and I've been looking at various raw vegan tuna recipes. Is hers sunflower seed-based?
Also, I just saw Men here in NYC! They were awesome!! Have a great time! ( I got my workout dancing AT the show)
I think it might have been walnut based...can't remember! The "Oh My This Is A Tuna" one is my all-time favorite.
YAY Men! I can't wait!
Those truffles look sooo good! Also, I love your flask and sandwich bag, they're so cute!
