I made up a batch of Ani Phyo's Garden Pate' and wrapped it up with veggies in an Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Tortilla.
Ani’s Garden Pate
(makes about 4 servings)
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 1/2 cup celery
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp garlic
- 1/4 cup carrots
- 1/8 cup onion
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
For sides, we had some black eyed peas with nooch, and a tasty broccoli slaw with a light avocado dressing.
As for dessert...I never eat cooked dessert, but all these yummy raw recipes are too tempting! I made a little peach cobbler using a a nut/date crust, chopped peaches, and a bit of cashew cream. YUM!
I'm enjoying eating raw, but wondering if I'm overdoing it on nuts. Any thoughts about how to balance it all out?

Yummy! I'm making that salad this weekend. And cooking with fruit is wonderful since you don't have to add too much sugar to it. I love peach cobbler...my grandma made the best!
The garden pate' looks like the perfect wrap filling. Yum.
I go through phases where I eat lots of nuts, then I start feeling kind of weighed down and cut back for a while. I guess I just go by how I feel.
Me and Chef Sal have been getting into Ezekiel bread, toast, english muffins, you name it. Having the wrap is giving me ideas.
Nonetheless, looks like a great recipe overall.
