Healthy Chocolate Covered Fruit!

This post brought to you by another of my late-evening sweet tooth attacks!

I made a extra-tasty chocolate sauce from Chocolate flavored Vega, raw cacao powder, and coconut oil, then poured it over a banana and some mixed frozen berries. The cold fruit hardened the sauce, making a crispy, sweet, cold treat.

Ahhhhh yummy!

Yum! I might eat more fruit if it were covered in CHOCOLATE!

oh!
did you follow a recipe? i would love to try this with some banana and blueberries.

yum yum. do you think it would work with fair trade regular cocoa? does the cocoa need to be raw, cuz i could make that happen if need be.

i am a lover of the vanilla vega. i had to force myself to get through a huge tub of berry all winter, and it was hard. but the vanilla is mmMMMMMM.

No recipe, Kittee. My original use of this sauce is based on this recipe from Iheartwellness.com:

Healthy Chocolate Sauce:

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tbsp cocoa powder

Now I omit sweetener and just mix up liquid coconut oil and cacao or cocoa until it's a nice thick liquid. I think vanilla vega would be yum.
Pour on top of anything cold!
