I would like to share the magical tale of how a Breville Juice Fountain came to live in my kitchen! I've had one on my wishlist since I first tuned in to dispatches from Kris Carr. She makes some juicer recommendations in Crazy Sexy Diet.In the best garage sale score ever, my treasure-hunting buddy Ali pointed out a contraption and said, "Look, a juicer" cuz he knows I've been looking for one for a couple of years now. I barely acknowledged him, having seen so many crappy/broken/cheap ones at g-sales that I don't even look anymore. He insisted that I check it out, and I'll be gobsmacked, it was the Cadillac of juicers, the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus. I was nearly skipping up to the lady to pay the ultra-cheapo price of $15!!!!!!! It is almost new!
Here's my inaugural juice, a carrot/cucumber/apple blend. I'm so used to my green smoothies that juice is taking a minute to get accustomed to. I am not big on that earthy taste, so my plan is to start fruit/sweet veg heavy and ease my way to hardcore green juices. Any favorite recipes you wanna share?

What a great find! Alot of people purchase juicers and don't end up using them. Yay for us juicers eh?
Congrats on your great find! I know what you mean about getting used to the earthy taste :) My fave juice is 3 beets, 3lbs apples and 2 to 3 limes, approximately.
So cool... don't we love yard sales? Mine is just like that but... er... I paid far more than that for it. :)
