
Secondly- the first green juice from my beloved new-to-me Breville Juice Fountain. I was scared due to the fact that in the past I thought I could just jam any old thing into the juicer and come out with a a great drink...gahhh no. I've thrown away more juice than Id like to mention. This time I got some sense and used a recipe. I was quite happy to find the result a mild and tasty concoction. As usual, yay Kris Carr!I used the recipe in Crazy Sexy Diet, but here's a similar one from Crazy Sexy Life.
It's our motto and our morning drink. Here's what we serve in the Carr/Fassett home daily. This recipe makes almost 32 oz. When we have time we make another juice at 4 pm.
2.5 cucumbers - peeled if not organic
Big fist full of Kale
Big fist full of sprouts
4-5 stalks celery
1 big broccoli stem
1 large carrot (optional)
1 inch of ginger (or less)
Other optional greens we love: Romaine, parsley and dandelion.
