Yum! I am on a serious fitness mission...we have an upcoming beach trip in May for our awesome friends' wedding, so it's time for me to get bikini ready for sunshine action! You may notice the new ticker in my sidebar. I am a very visual lady, so tracking my weight, food, and exercise efforts is very motivational! I am doing great sticking to my plan, and seeing results.
All that being said, I have a raging sweet tooth and must keep feeding that sugary monster! I just find healthy ways to do it. (Also, I know my posts have been sweets-heavy. This is just because I know you all don't want to see the numerous giant salads I have been consuming repeatedly!)
Exhibit A: Eat To Live-approved Banana Oat Bars (I had mine with a little coffee and homemade pecan milk).
- 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients together in a large bowl. Press dough in a 9"X 9" baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. When cool, slice into squares or bars and serve. ENJOY!
- 2Add the applesauce & date sugar if you'd like a sweeter, moister version of these bars.
- 3I usually double this recipe since everyone loves these bars and they disappear so quickly!
