I am currently using MyFitnessPal.com to help me get back on track after some summer laziness and a lot of vacation eating and drinking. My favorite cookbooks to use when counting calories are Happy Herbivore and Appetite For Reduction.
Today's treat is a breakfast meal that is big on taste and very low in calories.
This is the Frittata from Happy Herbivore, along with some sprouted grain raisin toast, a chiffonade of raw spinach, and grape tomatoes. 160 calories for the whole meal!
More Happy Herbivore eats coming soon!
In other news, I'm reading a super funny and entertaining book, She Flew The Coop.

Glad you're back! Hope your vacation was wonderful and you got to enjoy many a vegan milkshakes :)
I've been curious about the HH cookbooks. I love the blog, but don't have any of her books. The breakfast looks great.
They were out of vegan ice cream!!!
:( It worked out, because I found a delicious iced soy latte at a neat cafe down the street from there.
The Happy Herbivore cookbook is really fun so far- I like a lot of the recipes and each page lists nutrition info per serving, which is great.
Welcome back! Great looking breakfast and cheers to your new job!
